I think that's his dad yelling "Intellectual brutality!" in the background. LOL

RE: Class of 2019 - OutsiderFan - 12-18-2018

Never seen a WR block like Higgins does in his highlight vids.  Looks like he could maybe grow into a TE or H-Back. One of the scouting reports on him compared Higgins to Evan Ingram, NYG TE from Ole Miss.

Just a pure football player who looks quite versatile and plays a very physical game.

Would seem like between him and Simi Fehoko we have two potential JJAW's.
Wonder who our 2020 QB will be when Costello departs for the league. Presumably Mills if he can stay healthy, or if not him Jack West. Whoever he is he won't lack for good receivers to throw to.
I'm assuming, of course, that Costello decides to play one more year, gets his degree and then heads to the NFL. That strikes me as the most likely scenario.

You're forgetting Tanner McKee.

McKee will be a freshman in 2020 who hasn't played football for two years. Unless he goes into a phone booth to suit up, there is no way Shaw will start him.

Currently 14 signees per Stanford Football Twitter account.

Here's the Signing Day page with profile of each new recruit:

Re: Higgins TE -- some recruiting reporter broached the idea over the summer and Higgins shut that down immediately. He sees (saw?) himself as a WR only. Of course feelings can change and he looks like a premium WR recruit anyway, but just thought it was worth noting.

RE: Class of 2019 - nik6 - 12-19-2018

So the final class appears to be 21. Any other potential signees or targets?

RE: Class of 2019 - Spiny_Norman - 12-19-2018

Levani Damuni re-signs with Stanford too. For some reason, he is not listed yet on the CardClass2019 page.

Going by the gostanford.com page: Brock Jones (baseball scholarship), Wakely Lush, and Ryan Sanborn (will probably earn a scholarship REAL quick) are walk-ons. Levani Damuni returning from his mission makes 21. AFAIK there are a few relatively high-profile preferred walk-ons (have G5 offers or occasional low P5 offers) still being targeted, but scholarship players are done.

There’s a real long shot that just surfaced.   We will know more if he doesn’t sign elsewhere next Week.    However adding another is a real long shot

So is 4 star DE Ty Robinson potentially not signing this week to wait on Stanford admissions and go to the January big visit weekend, sort of like Dax Hollifield last year?

Robinson signed with Nebraska, so he’s off the board.   Also, McCaffrey’s kid brother signed with the Huskers.

If I understand correctly, Stanford could add a defensive lineman to the current class:

Salmon's tape makes me think of Pierce Holt - not quite as big, but rangy and "country strong".

ESPN is reporting that U$C commit Bru McCoy, the #9 recruit in the country according to 247, has just entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Damnit, I wanted USC to keep Clay Helton forever and forever. This is more news of his impending demise.

Drew Fowler to UW as PWO over Stanford (PWO) and offers from UCLA, Utah and Louisville.
