Another good night for Davis Mills.
19-27 for 320 yards and 5 TD's against the second best team in their league. Playoffs start next week.

Mills has movement skills like Luck. Don't know if he's as fast, but he's got the short area quickness and athleticism needed to be special. The first time I saw a video highlight of Mills, he was my #1 choice for QB in this class. Nice to see he has only improved since.

Here's hoping we have some flip magic like last year.

New reality emerging in PAC-12 football recruiting: UO may be slipping, but UW emerging is a more worrisome. A slightly stronger academic profile, can assert it is in the land of Microsoft and the aeronautics industry, and has a proven head coach who will likely keep the program near the top of the PAC-12 North as long as he is there.
(I can imagine there will be some scoffing about the academic remarks, but it may not take much to convince some recruits from the northwest who may be serious about both academics and football, and truly torn about leaving the region. Before this season I would have expected Foster Sarell to be a sure Stanford guy once admitted. Now...fingers crossed)

Nobody should scoff, UW is a fine school. Especially when compared to Oregon (which is a decent enough school in its own right, I believe).

Yeah, we are 0-2 against Washington in Pacific Northwest recruiting this year. I sure hope Sarell doesn't make it 0-3.
As far as proximity to home is concerned, Molden did mention the fact that Washington was only three hours up the freeway was a big plus for him.
Also, based on his stay at Boise State, I don't expect Petersen to hop to the NFL any time soon.

I'm not going to write anybody off who has been admitted to Stanford. Most guys who are admitted do sign with Stanford.

The admission process is nice that way. Any recruits willing to do what is required to gain admission is likely quite serious about attending.

in round 2 of playoffs, Mills was pretty efficient again. 24 of 27 for 260 yards and 2 TDs. also ran for a score on a zone read play

Given that GAC's kicker booted field goals of 52 and 47 yards maybe we should be looking at him, too.

Foster Sarell has put his decision off for a month.
He will now announce his choice in January at the US Army All American game.
Maybe Davis Mills can have some influence.
http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/uw-husky-football/graham-kapowsin-standout-lineman-foster-sarell-to-choose-between-uw-stanford-alabama-in-january/
P.S. Got mixed feelings about whether I want Washington in the playoffs or not. It may get us in a better bowl game, but it sure won't help our chances with Sarell.
P.P.S. I do like our chances with Walker Little. We get his last visit and (FWIW) 247 sports gives us a 69% chance of landing him. Texas, our main competition, is currently in a bit of a turmoil. Little will also be at the Army All American game.

Tough test for Davis Mills when he goes up Friday night against 11-1 Liberty County and five star (Georgia commit) DB Richard Le Counte. It will be interesting to see how that one turns out.
