I like the green tree look on the logo.  Maybe not on the helmet, but the logo looks good:

Yvonne nailed it!  It is the Marketing team consolidating the brand as I sat through a marketing presentation that showed multiple versions of our block S, some with the tree and some without.  The woman presenting told us the the tree had been sized to try to offset the potential comparison to:  $.  I think we will likely see this new version on the football field this season.  I like pushing for brand consistency, although I too like the green tree on some of my logo wear.  It makes it POP a little more and we are a very green campus!

WIM, when I saw your subject line I thought you were going to discuss Sunday's unveiling of the new tree sprout at the basketball game.  The current tree was a dancing machine once he passed on his costume to the sprout.  Those guys get a serious workout each game.  I may not love every costume but I appreciate their EUTM!
