Sure hope Nunu nor Clardy are graduating

Nunu is graduating this spring with her political science degree. She has said she plans to finish her college career at Stanford. No idea if Clardy is graduating early too.

I think it is a new world and while we hope players stay, we have to be realistic that things can change and the words "plan to" allow for flexibility if things change, which with NIL can occur quickly and meaningfully. Add to that the coaching/results/possible tournament absence and it requires a lot of things going well to keep our players. Let's hope they occur.

Dani Robinson, 5’10” guard in the class of ‘27 from Ontario Christian in Southern California, has a Stanford offer per Insta-zuk, and she’s being followed by Oesterle and three Stanford players. Robinson appears to have a lot of offers including Cal, Harvard, Yale, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Florida, and UNLV. Grades must be good…

Lepolo says she is not returning for 26-27 season.

I guess it's a good time to update this chart.  Unless coming in as a transfer, there will be no seniors on next season's team.  That's a punch in the gut.

Wow, Shay is going to be our only upperclassperson unless someone transfers in. We will have no seniors on the team.

Apparently the AD has concluded leadership that produces that outcome deserves another year.

I hope no one at Stanford teaches a class on leadership, because the folks who run this place have been abject failures at it for going on the better part of a decade now.

I've been wondering what Stanford teaches in that MBA program? Aside from the inexplicable losses with, what, 4 All-Americans on the team, the marketing of WBB has been terrible these last two seasons. And they don't even try to keep the fans that they have.

RE: Class of 2027+ - martyup - 04-16-2026

I actually don't hate our young roster for this upcoming season.  If Alex continues to improve and Shay can effectively run the point, and if the new frosh players can get up to speed quickly, we might have a good team.  However, I just don't have confidence that the current coaching staff won't screw it up . . . again.

Yeah, you look at the rankings of the current players coming out of HS versus the rankings of the players Tara used to take every year to the Big Dance, they are pretty comparable. No top 5's like Haley Jones or Carmeron Brink but still.
I think we have talent that should get us to the tourney if it is properly coached. Let;s see what KP can do with it,

Has it been definitively decided to retain KP for another year?

Is there a consensus on this board that the current head coach excels in strategizing, has installed a productive offense and tenacious defense, knows how to "finish" games, makes smart in-game adaptations, designs clever critical-game-situation plays, fosters team enthusiasm and joy, and recruits top players to fill major needs? If there is, I missed it.

Well, considering question 1 as far as the opinions of people on this board are concerned, I think it has. Are we the ones who make the final decision, of course not.  However I think we feel if she were going to be dismissed it would have happened by now.
As far as question 2 is concerned, the reason you missed it is because there isn't one.

RE: Class of 2027+ - CompSci87 - 04-16-2026

Could we keep this pinned thread about recruiting? Fire-the-coach posts can go in the WBB news thread, as we seem to have settled on.

Inés Sotelo, a 6'3" current sophomore center from Michigan State, has committed to Stanford from the transfer portal.  So at least 2 upper classmen now.

6'3" at "Center?"
