I was at the Saturday game and am going again today. Great catch by our shortstop to end the game. Bruno was hitting 97 during warm-up but had serious control issues in the ninth. If he can start pounding the strike zone on a consistent basis he is going to be tough,  and as a lefty a high draft pick as well. The team has a lot of power again this season and I think CWS potential.

It was not only Bruno with control problems. 4 Stanford pitchers issued 12 walks, threw 5 wild pitches, hit a batter and committed a balk. Lots of room for improvement from that performance!

Then today starter Nick Dugan gave up 5 runs in 2/3 of an inning before he was pulled. Not a good weekend for Stanford pitching.

Ah, man! I left the game in the bottom of the 8th, just as Fullerton hit a home run. Heard lots more cheering as I was walking outside the stadium. Completely missed our seven-run rally in the ninth. :(
