I asked that earlier. She is on the bench

Extended playing time for a lot of the bench, which is good. But our defense is terrible. With little time on the court for our best defenders - the Hulls, Cam, and Anna (what's up there - must've missed why she's not playing?), we are giving up tons of easy baskets.
Interesting how a team with lots of talent can look so bad when the combinations don't gel. Reminds me of another basketball team of ours.
Also, Curry is special. And not even in the Top 100 as a recruit.
Hopefully our starters can give us a nice lead in the third...

I would not have called that an intentional foul. I was surprised they didn't call a foul on that player just before, on Brink's shot as she hit Brink with the body and then in the head with her arm.
Who would have called a 56% shooting half a weak half for Stanford?

Anna is dressed for the game--I'm wonderin if Tara is resting her until Sunday? Lot of interesting choices in this game...

Suddenly we are excellent from the FT line. 18-21 tonight . . . so far.

I’m liking Hamilton’s ball-handling skills.

With 2 minutes left in the 3rd, unless things slow down, Stanford's pace would put them over 90 for the game.

Jones got her 4th foul before the end of the 3rd. Not good.

I obviously don’t understand basketball rules because that didn’t look like a foul on Jones to me. It was a “basketball play.”

Would love to hear an explanation of that.
Also, why is a carrying call on Stanford, then Cal gets the ball and carrys at will without a whistle?

They've been calling these on the offensive player. The defensive player runs into the offensive player immediately after a pass off. I don't understand it. The defensive player has no more right to that path than the offensive player.
Did I miss a change in the rules.

47 ft's is a lot. These refs are calling so many fouls where the players is vertical and the offensive players flails. Although it may look like a foul because of the flailing it is not.

We lead 75-55 after three quarters as our offense accelerated even more after a good first half offensively. We scored 33 points in the third quarter with Jump, Belibi and Jones leading the charge, accounting for 45 of our points on 18/28 shooting.
Defensively, Cal got disjointed, coughing up the ball a few times and missing some early shots in the quarter.
Jones picked up two fouls in quick succession late in the quarter and she also has 7 turnovers.

Agreed. Haley has the right to run straight. The cal girl ran right into Haley.
What a 3rd quarter from Stanford. We outscored cal 33-13 in the 3rd!
Belibi is having a career game tonight. In 3 quarters she has 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

Yeah more than the usual share of flailing and flopping going on. I thought we had a couple of clean blocks by Cam and Jordan on drives but refs must have called the lower body.

I didn't really see the carry on Haley, but the one on Jordan Hamilton was legit. The ball stopped, looking like she trapped it against her hip for a second.
No opinion on whether Cal should have had some called.

We have 2:25 to score 5 points to hit the century mark.
