Re: Stanford vs. UCLA prediction thread - amartinsu13 - 10-14-2015

Stanford 41
UCLA 24

Stanford runs for more than 300 yards.
We hold Perkins to under 100 yards.
Rosen throws more than 35 times, but only completes 55%.
We win the possession battle 38min to 22min.
We finally force a turnover in a game...

Stanford 40
UCLA 30

I do expect us to rattle Rosen and ideally get a solid pick or two!

I'll put you down as favoring the home team unless you indicate otherwise.

The ESPN crew is unanimous in predicting a tight Stanford victory: http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/93122/pac-12-week-7-game-picks-will-washington-end-its-losing-streak-against-oregon

It seems particularly odd that they all pick the same score. Four have 27-24, one has 28-24.
They also don't seem to think there will be all that much scoring.

You know what was really odd? All except for one picked USC over Notre Dame. Circling the wagons, I guess.

Re: Stanford vs. UCLA prediction thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2015

Wilner picked us as his five-star special.  Sadly, the 5 star special only has a 3-3 record (though that's ATS, so it gives us some leeway).

Specifically he has Stanford 38-28.
I am not sure if he usually picks a score, which would preclude him from entering our contest along with the espn guys.

------------
By the way, in that post, speaking of the upcoming $C coaching hire, Wilner states,
"The best way to judge the hire is by the reaction in the 11 other football offices throughout the conference. Sarkisian-to-USC did not cause knots in stomachs."

I suppose that might be true ... if you had any way to know the real reaction in the football offices. While it seems likely to be true, I am pretty sure Wilner is just making up that little factoid about stomach knots.

Re: Stanford vs. UCLA prediction thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2015

No, Wilner doesn't usually put up a score, just makes picks against the spread.

Re: Stanford vs. UCLA prediction thread - CTcard - 10-15-2015

I suppose it's about time to pony up this week's prediction that won't be very close.

Big Daddy Trees - 35
Little Baby Bears - 24

Boy Wonder gets some yards, but Stanford gets yards far more consistently and eats the clock. Unfortunately, the 40 point streak falls.
