Some of the elite recruits in the 2016 class superficially remind me a bit of recruits in the 2014 class.Â
Costello QB, 6'4", 213, CA, #31 - Chryst, QB, 6'4", 220, CA, #51
Smith, TE, 6'5.5", 235, #55 - Schultz, TE, 6'5", 215, #100
Yarbrough, OT, 6'6", 270, #95 - Tucker, OT, 6'6", 270, #82
Robinson, LB, 6'3", 205, O.C., CA, #117 - Okereke, LB, 6'3", 215, O.C., CA, #167
Now for the doppleganger for
Solomon Thomas, DL, 6'2.5", 258, D.F.W., TX. Maybe Mike Williams, DL, 6'2", 280, D.F.W., TX.

#17 overall class, per 247 composite. The usual pattern is for the class to finish strong as players get admitted and then sign. It'd be nice if things continue to follow that trend; but this start has been so unusual that it's hard to say whether we'll stay on trend.

So we're supposed to get 2 more commits over the next 48 hours, right? That's how it works, right?

From Clemson's point of view:

... Yarbrough said Clemson was recruiting him the hardest and at one point he gave strong indication Clemson could be the choice.
... But Yarbrough recently visited Stanford and the strong academic programs at the school along with the nationally ranked football program were too much for him to ignore ...

Actually, up to four commits total this week per a Rivals interview with Bo Peek.

My bets on Next: Simi Fehoko, Mike Williams, and Devery Hamilton or David Long.Â
If follows LDS form, Fehoko gains us nada - Redrum - 05-20-2015
Well, OK..."nada" in the framework of our current WR pipeline. By the time Fehoko returns, we might have to be running the 4-tight end offense with RB McCaffrey our best "wide receiver".

Except for 4.40 40 David Long and five-star Trent Irwin, apparently.

Those comments along with the more recent tweets are a reliable projection given the sources and the buzz concerning Simms interest in Stanford.

Bisharat is the #197 player in Rivals, but relatively modestly ranked everywhere else. As a consequence, a high-three-star in 247composite.

ESPN has its head up its butt as far as rating Bisharat (and a bunch of other players). Bisharat is Top 200 on Rivals, Top 300 on Scout, and just outside the Top 400 on MaxPreps and 247Sports' own (not composite) rating. This is a very good running back with the type of size/frame that fits well into Stanford's power running game. I would take him over most of the other guys on Stanford's RB board. I suspect he had to wait for the May SAT scores to come out before he got his offer because I think Stanford would have offered him long ago otherwise.Â
