Hambly still trying to figure out the combinations that work.
Blyashof has realy good court vision and shot placement.

3 MB kills that set so better. Frankly, Andrews blocking was the best attacker in set 2. Blyashov still playing well also.

Etzler was outstanding at times. 23 digs and 3 aces.

Etzler was credited with a kill; did a free ball catch Notre Dame out of position or something? It happens but not often.
Everyone here was talking about Blyashov, but Harvey hit .412 and had almost as many kills. The MBs struggled on offense but as others noticed they got it done defensively.

Etzler had a reflex dig that went over everybody for ND but stayed in play. ND had gotten sucked really far forward so the ball was well in.
Harvey started slower - not badly (like .270ish first set) - but warmed up along the way.
Only 9 kills - and at least 2 of those were off over passes - for the middles, and Andrew hit .200. That won’t be enough against a better team.
Etzler was really good today.
I like the increase in back row sets for both Harvey and Blyashov the last few matches. This team needs to develop every edge they can find.

Probably one of our best set of the season and we still find a way to lose it. Offense and defensive looked solid until late in the set. Now, I feel like a sweep is coming. Winning the first set of significant importance for confidence.

yes, we've had injuries and travel but team's regression this season worth noting. we look significantly worse as the season has progressed. what is being practiced or is team chemistry just off that it's a lost cause at this point?
