Scout came out with new rankings in which Curtis Robinson is up to #51 overall.
Costello, Smith and Yarbrough remain extremely highly rated, with Yarbrough's #59 ranking well above the consensus.
If/when Yarbrough commits, Stanford will have 4 in Scout's top 60 overall.
Edmonds got a bump to the #39 cornerback (from #50), which is still far below the consensus. 
Imatorbhebhe is listed as the #73 WR despite offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio St., Michigan St., and Stanford.

Jake Bailey is probably going to be a punter not a kicker.  Incoming freshman Charlie Beall is slated for kicking.  Both Beall and Bailey are very highly rated, but there is no reason to think Molson would be unable to win the kicking job.  Molson may have the strongest leg of the 3.  He's newer to kicking, but he will be a star if he can refine his technique to be more consistent.

By my count we have about 47 fans in the SEC, all of whom attended Stanford an/or sent a kid to Stanford.  All those LSU fans cheering was really just mass self-worship.  It's funny.  I am embedded in a Bama (with a minor in Vanderbilt) family.  The only time Stanford comes up is when my beloved Bama grad daughter inquires how Stanford did on Saturday with the same polite interest one sees at a party where one doesn't know anyone.

Nice to hear Stanford is in the top group for Hamilton.  I understand he could be an OT or DE at Stanford, but, to my eyes, his highlight video looks much better at OT.  Tremendous strength and balance, and would be solid against the run, but not enough speed to be much of a pass rusher.

I went to have my sarcasm detector checked.  Good news!  It was fine.  But the doc did detect my hair-trigger tendency to jump in any time the opportunity to kick the SEC in the shins presented itself.  He said, living where I do, I might want to think about modifying that behavior.  I told him to bleep off, and added that he might want to take down the pics of him (and buddies) at some Tennessee tailgate.

I just saw that Costello, Smith, and Robinson all re-tweeted Demetris Robertson's tweet that he re-opened his recruitment.  I would not be surprised to hear that those three all played a role in getting Robertson to re-consider his options.  Remember that Costello, Smith and Robinson chose to commit quite early in the process, despite the risks of the admissions process and despite the fact that Shaw makes offers that he says can be accepted at any time in the process.  I suspect that a key reason to commit early was to help build the class, and they have a great opportunity to do just that.  In 2015, Chaffin and Wilson were the guys who took that role.  But they didn't start until summer and they weren't the same elite level recruits as the guys who are doing the recruiting this year.  This class has more the feel of the 2009 class, when Skov got a very early start and had a lot of street cred.

There was lots of chatter about that not being a commitable offer until Bama had room for him. Saban and Meyer are pretty notorious for that.

This was during his recruitment in a video interview, probably on Rivals. He said that he didn't want to commit anywhere until he was 100% certain. He didn't want to be one of those kids who switched schools because he felt it was important as a quarterback to help build the recruiting class and begin leading right away. If he were to switch, he would essentially have built his competitor's recruiting class, so he was going to wait. Based on all that, I'm sure he's currently one of our top recruiters.

At the risk of being pedantic, this may come down to a definition of what we mean by "stole."  Does every recruit who has an offer from Alabama but chooses Stanford count as "stealing" a recruit? Only if we assume Saban gets every recruit he sets his eyes on.  In Robertson's case, on the other hand, we have an athlete who had already committed to Saban and Alabama and who may very well switch to Stanford. I'd say that counts as "stealing" in the world of recruiting.

On another note, I'm wondering if, at the rate students have been committing to Stanford, and the open enthusiasm of many of the guys receiving offers (like David Long), could we end up with a problem of having over-offered, and having to inform some guys who really want Stanford that they may need to find another landing spot.  I know it's early yet, so maybe I'm jumping the gun, and I assume that if this is a possibility that the coaches are already telling some people who have received offers where they are on the pecking order.
