I guess it's a semantics game as to what "good" means, but I thought the 2013 offense was "good." It was certainly a top-20 offense, which by my reckoning is...good.

Yeah it's semantics, but some numbers ...
total offense yds/gm - 69th
total offense yds/play - 26th
S&P+ - 17th
FEI - 22nd [Football Outsiders]
FEI - 27th [BCFToys]
Pts/gm - 45th
Pts/play - 16th
Pts/drive ? [for some reason BCFToys got rid of this, but my memory is about 30th.]
Now, I'd give much less weight to anything that doesn't account for pace of play, but I'd still look at all those numbers (and I am sure there are several other relevant choices) and average things out to not-quite-top 20.
Perhaps of more concern, the offense was quite capable of collapsing against good defenses that 2011 and 2015 (after game 1.5) did not do. Everyone remembers Michigan State in the Rose Bowl, but that defense was so good it may not be the best measure. But that year Stanford also put up
284 yds/4.6 ypp/ 31 pts [largely on great special teams] vs UW,
273 yds/5.3 ypp / 20 pts in a close win over OSU,
337 yds/ 5.6 ypp / 17 pts in a loss to $C,
a half where we only gained 87 yds/3.7 ypp/ 0 pts in a loss vs Utah,
and even our big win against Oregon was only 377 yds/ 4.8 ypp/ 26 pts.
So, given the level Stanford has been playing at overall since 2009, I would probably only call that offense okay.

Osiris is apparently on the verge of announcing a commitment:

Per 24/7, we are 2:1 underdogs.

Would be h*** if we could get Little (no pun intended).

Though the size of this class will be small, it could be an epic class if Stanford could sign the following. Walker Little, Foster Sarell, Davis Mills, Colby Parkinson, Darnay Holmes, Sione Heimuli-Lund, Elijah Molden, Osiris St. Brown and Jeffrey Okudah.
One can wish and wishes do come true. :D :D

I wonder if Mrs. Little is confusing the written offer with acceptance given today was the day that written offers went out. Perhaps he was coincidentally accepted the same day, but not many apps of uncommitted recruits get submitted and reviewed this early.

^ He was admitted.
Rumors are that Foster Sarrell should also be hearing back on his admission soon.Â
Fingers crossed they announce their commitment together!!

Is sending out the offer letters all at once a new policy? I had always thought/assumed they went out to each individual shortly after he got his verbal offer.
As far as who got the 19, here are 12 I'm fairly certain of.
Little
Sarrell
Mills
Parkinson
Black
St. Brown
Ah You
Lund
Head
Fisk
Molden
Ahmed
Other seven, who knows. Holmes is a possibility.
I know there are some Cardboarders who follow this stuff more than I do, so additions/corrections are welcome.

And the new social media rules allow coaches to send them to recruits via social media.

Just how do formal offers differ from informal ones? Are schools bound to honor them whereas they aren't with informal ones?

Send offers in envelopes on formal stationery. A Stanford offer should not be taken lightly :)
