Re: Stanford - UW game thread - Trevmiesterj - 11-10-2017

Huskies d-line is very stout and even though Cardinal O-Line playing well, they won't win more than half the time.

Spieghts just doesn't have the vision and speed to tip the balance.

So agreed.  KJ must go off.

Agree. They are going to have to keep throwing it downfield. Would sure like to see the TEs involved.

If Stanford can run the ball in the second half with Speights, we have a good chance.

I'm not at all confident that'll happen.

Costello needs to win this game, if it can be won at all.

I will say, the pass protection has been outstanding.

Fade?  BC - .........

UW knows how to defend the fade.  The safety covered a lot of ground, and we are lucky it wasn’t intercepted.

The jumpball.  Ironically, the outside corner fade would have worked there, though hard to execute from that far out.

That pattern worked fine.  JJ just needed to stick his butt out further to get a tad more separation.

You are probably right.
Peterson will make some adjustments against the passing game. He may try to confuse Costello with delayed blitzes, etc. on obvious passing situations. They seem to be defending the KJ roll outs OK. I hope Shaw starts with some short passes.

+1.  Would like to see KJ running north south and not east west so much.

There was a run on two where a healthy Love possibly pops it. Particularly his last run.
