At least Chryst cannot say that he wasn't given his chance. Now, start Costello. I know it won't happen, but I would like to see him get the start against WSU.

Nah. They played their hearts out. They deserve respect, and I feel bad for OSU. We are unbelievably lucky to have come out with the win.

But,
BOWL ELIGIBLE AGAIN!. Something Elway could never achieve.

Shaw better say something like this publicly:
It's great to win, and Keller made the plays he absolutely had to make to win, so give him credit for that, but that performance was totally unacceptable. The QB at Stanford University simply must play better.

We just opened an El Paso office, and I look forward to visiting it during SUN BOWL WEEK.

I feel bad for their coach, he had them fired up and ready to play. Respect to him, deserved the upset.

I hear you but they had it and found a way to give Stanford one more chance. Feel for them but a slightly better team seals that. Glad they weren't slightly better.
Man, I have never been so irritated and then relieved in a game since I don't know when...

The game just started way too early for our guys.

I mean I'm very superficially relieved at best. I guess one charitable interpretation is that this team is *very bad* on the road. Perhaps the only good effort was at Utah; other than that the road performances have basically been uniformly unacceptable.
(Actually, other nice note: obviously Phillips is a beast. And I thought the line actually played reasonably well, but were handicapped by the quarterback situation.)
Anyway, the less charitable interpretation, of course, is that the team is trapped in the coaching staff's misconceptions. Snap out of it, friends, you're better than this.

A charitable way of looking at it is that it takes a good team to play poorly and still win the game.

And by the running back situation; they opened some nice holes on run plays that resulted in four yard gains that would have gone for 40+ if Love was carrying the ball.

Seems to me like Phillips won the game despite Shaw's best efforts. I know Shaw on the whole is a really good coach, but Chryst just didn't have it tonight & we luckily won on a bit of a prayer. This team has too much talent to have a result like this.

Yeah. Scarlett has been more effective this year than last year, but it seems clear he's missing a certain something as the lead guy. That said, he
has improved with experience, so I'm not entirely unhopeful for further gains from him.

What in the world makes anyone think that Shaw will give Costello a chance after what we saw tonight? This is on the coach. Absolutely asleep at the wheel. I refuse to vent publicly upon what we witnessed tonight. I will not complain about the kids. Coach is getting paid ($5+ millbones a year) he is open for questions and criticism. The radio hosts were open to second guessing coaching. This is my public opinion. Personally, I am pissed and dumfounded. PUKE!!!
