His offer list isn't very impressive. Then again, Matt Breida (NFL's current leading rusher) was the #186 RB in his class, and went to Georgia Southern as a 5-9 150 RB recruit.

Didn't go to any camps since his sophomore year, so all his P5 offers are from local-ish Midwest programs who scout Missouri more closely - and Stanford.

Did he go to a Stanford camp? I get the impression it is tough to get an offer out of Shaw if you haven't gone.

Peat came I think to Friday Night Lights and worked out with Gould

If Gould wants someone, that's good enough for me. There is no better RB coach.

Sorry for the confusion. He didn't go to any Rivals, Nike, Under Armour, etc. regional camps.

247 has just added a 2-star inside linebacker named Justin Pelic to our prospects list.  but it doesn't say that we've offered him a scholarship.

rivals.com says he committed to Wake Forest, but implies that he decommitted on September 22nd.  i'm not sure what happened there on the 22nd to make him decommit, but i suppose we'll find out eventually.

Losing by 29 to Notre Dame?

RE: Class of 2019 - slide - 09-27-2018

on Pelic, my guess is he may be preferred walk-on candidate at LB.  ~6' and 210lbs.  a local paper reported recently that Pelic did not have a power-5 but that several schools were showing interest including Stanford.

With his forced fumble at Oregon, Noah Williams showed how much impact a walk-on can have.

Geaux Cardinal!

DE Joshua Pakola expected to announce this evening.

Last week I watched Pakola play at Kezar (St. Francis vs SHCP). He has impressive height-strength-quickness. I expect that in college he will play DE, but it's possible he could play linebacker. For St. Francis he sometimes plays offense as a TE, but not often.

RE: Class of 2019 - OutsiderFan - 10-04-2018

Did Pakola get some admissions news?  Because 247 has indicated he would be making an announcement at the Army game.

OF, social media indicates that he advanced his announcement date because his grandfather is not well and he wants his grandfather to be able to hear this news and share in the family celebration.

Says a lot about the young man to make such a gesture.

I expect Josh Pakloa can be a significant positive impact player for Stanford. Congratulations to the school, the coaching staff, and Josh Pakloa .

Playing for St. Francis........ Pakola has worn #7, which is a retired Stanford football jersey number.
Speaking of Elway (who played football and baseball for Stanford)  for St. Francis Pakloa has been an outstanding 1st baseman and hitter. Does Coach Shaw permit his football players to also play baseball ?
I'm not saying Pakloa wants to play baseball, just curious if it is allowed.
Approximately sixty years ago Stanford QB John Brodie got out of spring football practice because he played for the Stanford golf team.
