Really peeved that I can't watch the Louisville @ Syracuse game on KRON. What sort of deal with the devil has the ACC made to have one game/week on The CW? It's absolutely the worst, and KRON preempting the game for their awful Super Bowl coverage is keeping me from complaining about the awful CW announcers.
Grrr...

South Carolina just handed Tennessee their worst ever loss (by margin) - 43 points - it's been almost two decades since the Lady Vols have reached the Final Four (when they beat us in the title game in 2008). While they've been in the Top 25 since then, I don't think they've been really mentioned as a title contender in these last twenty-odd years, esp. since Summitt's retirement.
Notre Dame has gotten some big time recruits (Hidalgo, Miles, Citron) since McGraw's retirement but they underperformed last year based on expectations and saw Miles transfer away and haven't broken through to the final weekend of the NCAA tournament.
Baylor is a solid Top-25 squad but nowhere near where they were when they were under Mulkey's leadership - the Lady Bears won the last pre-COVID championship in 2019.
Right now, we should be so lucky to get to where these programs who are already deeper into their post-legendary coach retirement/departure phases.

Noticed from the SWBB email last night that there will be no Behind the Bench on Sunday.
This is incredibly sad.

I can't go to games anymore so I don't know, but have they had any this season? Everything about the program is a bit sad now. I remember back in the day when there was some sort of fan event after ever single game, weekday games included. Good times, long gone.

Sunday is senior night so there are the postgame festivities for that.

I am not so sure about that. The email says the seniors will be honored pregame.
"After enjoying the fun on the concourse, head to your seats at 10:40 AM PT to join us for a pregame ceremony, honoring our three seniors!"

So you're saying we have no post game for our next game? Sorry, bad joke.....

I think there was one at the very beginning of the season, then no more.
So much for fan engagement.

This is the time they should ramp up fan engagement, not shut it down even more. Losing games often means losing attendance. Fan engagement can keep some fans around who may not want to go see a team that is not as successful as they used to be.

have the chalk talks been a thing this season or did that die too? haven't seen any posts about them all season long.
I agree that fan engagement is poor. It’s gotten worse over the years. I know Ben Parker has tried to do some in season Wbb interviews for the paid fan board to no luck. Coach Paye doesn’t do a coaches show or weekly media or anything for that matter to show accessibility. I guess maybe you just try to hide from the media when things aren’t going well which has been the case in her 2 years.

They've been happening consistently. Good turnout, too.
Don't give 'em any ideas!

Lara Somfai is overseas posting videos of being back in Hungary preparing for the FIBA world cup qualifier Hungary vs Australia. Presumably if we accept a bid to the WBIT or NIT she likely won’t be coming back to play in those games? How would others interpret?

We have had soccer players miss games to train with a national team. Guess this is about the same
I do hope she takes all her finals

I thought I read somewhere that she was going to be an interviewer for that game, not a player.
