The Chick-fil-a commercial was just aired during the Chiefs-Broncos game.  What would otherwise be something I wouldn't notice became a quick rewind to see Vic killing it.

My ten year old daughter, who is sportaphobic, happened to be in the room and exclaimed (I kid you not) "That chicken's got moves!"

Trevmiester, I somehow missed your post, so I just had to say that reading it just now made me smile. I'm glad your kid was entertained--that's really the best part of mascotting.

And yes, Winflop, those were some amazing times to watch basketball. One thing that I didn't properly appreciate until I started working with the Bulls was the human poetry of Scottie Pippen's defense. Of course, Michael Jordan was and is the greatest player ever, but Scottie on defense was just sublime. The man would crouch down and spread his arms which seemed to be 8 feet long and make a human gate from which no ball handler could hope to get past. And then he could shadow the ball handler impossibly closely without fouling him. Wow, that guy was amazing.

There's the real benefit of having mascotted for the Bulls--getting to watch the transcendent Bulls of that era ;)
