Josh Nunes may not have been the best QB on the roster that year, but he did just enough in that game to keep us in the Rose Bowl picture. And that comeback against UofA was pretty amazing as well.
Stepfan's first TD in this game was pretty great.

Great video from 2012! I's absolutely amazing how many NFL players were in that game on both sides.
Favorite play is Ty leveling the USC DB after the INT!

So many highlights in that game, including the defensive stand on the final USC series. I never get tired of watching Barkley get pressured, then sacked.

That was the famous Cyrus Hobbi game, where he got abused.
Unfortunately, Hobbi had to leave football for medical reasons:

Quote:Hobbi is best know for his disastrous performance against Stanford in 2012, when the #2 Trojans were outmatched at the line of scrimmage and Matt Barkley spent most of the evening on his back. An injury to starting center Khaled Holmes thrust the then redshirt freshman into the limelight and the Cardinal defensive line took every opportunity to make his life miserable.

Some high-profile opening games:
1970 -- at #4 Arkansas. We won, starting our Rose Bowl run.
1973-76 -- Penn State, which was ranked in the top 10 all four years. We lost all four (three on the road).
1978, 1983-84 -- Oklahoma, which was ranked #4, #2, and #16. We lost all three (two at home).
1988 -- #6 U,S,C. We lost, 24-20.
1990 -- at #6 Colorado. We lost on an egregious bad call. Bienemy clearly fumbled before he crossed the goal line.
1991 -- #4 Washington. We lost.
1992 -- #7 Texas A&M, in Anaheim. The first game of Walsh's return. We lost 10-7.
