Why does the Pac-12 get the sunny side? Does looking into the sun detract from viewing the game, especially an afternoon one?

Got the Bob Uecker "I must be in the front row" seats. My nose is already bleeding. Just joking, not complaining. And thanks to Spiny_Norman know that we can see the Jumbotron. And happy to be at the game and on the same side of the field as the Band where the team congregates at the end of games. Can somebody remind me when you are supposed to jump during All Right Now?
See you guys in Pasadena, if not in LA at a huddle the night before.

They're supposed to be mailing them the 17th. I'm having my 10 sent to a ranch in Arizona. No chance for a f-up there....no-o-o-o-o-o.

we're in section 3. We ordered as a group for multiple season ticket holders and in total got 18 tickets together, of course they put all 18 in one row so the benefits of sitting together as a group are somewhat diminished.

The standard stuff: alcohol, coolers, umbrellas, yada yada. Then there's this:
Unauthorized video cameras, monopods or tripods
Small disposable cameras and small digital cameras are allowed. No SLRs, no attachments, no tripods.
Seriously? I wasn't planning on bringing my tripod, but I sure as heck was planning to bring my DSLR camera. No go? And what's an unauthorized video camera? Have these people heard of iPhones?

Yeah, I just got my tickets in the mail from StubHub with the event brochure...which says no interchangeable lenses or lenses over 3.5 inches. Crap.

Sweet. Section 5, Row 4 (really row 15 if you count the lettered rows). I may have two extras that I would sell at face value to a real Stanford Cardboarder. I will post next week if they become available and I could exchange the tickets at a Cardboard get together. It looks like the pep rally will be from 3:00-5:00 at or near LA Live. We should plan a dinner/drink get together somewhere in the area after the pep rally. If there is one of these Stanford meet-up/hook-up locations we could use that or any other good place.Â

Is the camera rule specific to the Rose Bowl Championship or the venue? I actually brought a DSLR and a longer lens to the Stanford/UCLA game. They looked in my bag - didn't seem to have a problem.

probably the actual Rose Bowl event, i'd guess. they may be very strict on image rights, etc. the UCLA facilities site offers a less comprehensive list of banned items: http://www.uclabruins.com/facilities/ucla-rose-bowl.html

Apparently, anything in the first 15 rows really limits your view. Those rows are low with a flat rise. 25 to 45 are supposed to be the best.

StubHub has loads of tickets for sale on the Wisconsin side but very few on the Stanford side.
