The University as a whole (including athletics) ran a $78 million deficit in 2025:

Fortunately, Stanford Health Care prints money, to the tune of almost half a billion dollars a year in net income, so Stanford as a whole is fine.  As I’ve said before, Stanford is a Hospital (two actually) that subsidizes a loss-making educational enterprise.  Forget cozying up to the University, if I am Stanford Athletics, I would hope that this guy is a Stanford athletics fan (evidently he’s a triathlete).  Surely we can get Stanford Orthopedics to provide NIL money to the football team, right?

if he's a triathlete more likely he supports Olympic Sports and puts NIL money to swimming, track & field, or cross country....
