That is pretty rich coming from ol' Kirby "play by the rules" Smart.  Break away and play with yourselves as far as I care. Guess we really need to figure out how to close the deal that last Saturday in November pretty soon before they break away into their own little world and they are only a memory from the fight song.

Interesting that FCS has had a 24-team playoff for 14 years now and that runs pretty smoothly, yet the 'big boys' can't get out of their own way.

There are so many threads here about different legal issues and college sports, I am not sure if this is the right thread.

More insanity.  New Jersey taxpayers will be helping Rutgers field a decent football team.

Is that a first or just the first that has reporting? And only $5 million won’t make Rutgers any good. At best it will maintain a mediocre football and a bad men’s basketball team.

I didn't think it was possible for me to feel more pessimistic about the future of college sports, but it happens every time someone adds a new story...

. . . .and it continues. As someone posted elsewhere, these lawyers have people actually rooting for the NCAA.
