Longeran has ton of respect from the Bama crowd, and is beginning to shine at BC. Hoping the Card can pull out a one point win at home. 24-23. Hoping for a qb change, on our part, as well.  . . .

TBH I don't have a good pulse on this game. Haven't watched a BC game in years. I do believe playing at home will give the card a slight boost but that may just be it. I'm going to say we will but it may be a struggle.

BC 24

Maybe, we can get UCLA (0-3) back on the schedule?
They got drubbed 10-35 by NM Lobos last night in the Rose Bowl.

They might go the rest of the way without a win.

Actually...to your point, the Cardinal is playing at home - true - but the key is that they are playing at night. BC is playing at 10:30 p.m. East Coast time. They'll be starting the second half when it is past midnight, according to their body clocks. So you're saying there's a chance...

I think if BC keeps it on the ground, they'll do better. Running game is more about brute strength and passing game is about precision. Unfortunately, the Cardinal doesn't have a passing game, precision or otherwise. I still think BC wins big.

So, the question is whether Gulbranson just had a bad two games stretch that is not representative of his play, or if he is a bad fit for the system or the weaknesses at other positions exacerbate his own shortcomings.

BC

It’s door #3. Those teams at OSU had beasts on the O-Line. He was rarely under any pressure thanks to his running game and protection. They had 5 ypa and 200 yards rushing per game.  There’s no point in comparing his stats from a 10-3 Oregon State team to what he can do for us.

Until proven otherwise, it’s bleak.

I wonder how much Ashton Daniels got paid to be the third string quarterback at Auburn.

13/22 for 186 yards, 8.5 ypa, 1 TD, 0 INT.

He had to get away from TT, I think, and he didn't know TT was going to be let go.  If it was a play for mental health, I understand that.

The answer to the question is $1.5M over 2 seasons.

Of course I don't really know, but Daniels may have realized that he just isn't a good enough passer to be a "Power 4" QB at a medium to good program. 1.5 million to be a back up while getting more education makes lots of sense. It is also possible he believes that a new coaching staff may make him better as a passer. So far, no indication it has, but who knows?
