On the replay it looked to me like she did get a little shove from the defender but it's impossible to tell how much that contributed.
What a bummer for Cam! A bummer for her Olympic teammates, as well. Hope she recovers completely.
She does look like she gets "bumped" by the Sun's defender before her knee buckles.

Heartbreaking news. I can't imagine how distraught she must feel. However, she can turn lemons into lemonade because this frees her up to do more product endorsement work. Expect to see her in a lot of ads over the next year. She can become the face of the WNBA.

Read the story in this morning's Merc. My worst fears confirmed. But IIRC Jayne Appel had a similar injury early in her career. She came back strong. Cam has the "want-to" to get through a successful rehab. Prayers for her recovery.

i kept replaying it looking for an aggressive bump. seemed like there was a blocking foul, but no rough stuff. the kind of foul we see 10 times per game with no injury. cam didn't seem to land awkwardly either.

Particularly sad for Cam considering this not only ends her WNBA season but also her rare chance to compete in the Olympics and her first year overseas next offseason.
Hopefully this allows her time to recharge, both mentally and physically though (and rehab) given the constant go-go it has been for her coming off the college season and into the WNBA season.
