Good for them. For those that are not vaccinated and plan to attend Pac-12 games, it might be best to get that first dose ASAP.

Good for LSU. And that 99+% vax rate on the team further puts Stanford's figure in a less-than-flattering light.

Isn’t the Stanford figure now 19 days old? Was there an update ?

What is Stanford's figure?
I don't see it in this thread - was it in another?

Second lowest reported rate in the PAC-12 at 85%.

I’d like to see the rate go higher and suspect it will, especially because all Stanford students — athlete or not — are supposed to be vaccinated.
I’m also curious how various institutions get their numbers. Are teams counting one shot? Two? Two plus two weeks? Self-reported or verified? I could see Stanford not counting it until it’s two shots plus two weeks, and verified.
And given the rate of prevalence in Louisiana, and the rate of breakthrough infections, I could still see LSU having one of the higher infection rates in P5 football. And I still expect Stanford to once again deliver one of the best track records in terms of avoiding transmission within a team.

IIRC, the 85% figure was for the whole football program. But if the player percentage were higher, then I would have expected some reporting on that. I'm most curious about what grounds support a waiver of the university's requirement that students be vaccinated. I'm not interested in theory, I'd love to see actual examples of "Person X said/has )__, and that sufficed for the issuance of a waiver." Don't need names of students, but would be interested in waiver bases.
Not holding my breath on that one, though . . .

Still 85%. [tweet]https://twitter.com/StanfordSports/status/1430737667793190919?s=20[/tweet]
Looking at the university guidance on exemptions, the remaining 15% must have gotten them so don't think this number is going to go up at all. Pretty sad when you compare the team's rate to the rest of the conference.

Eric, will you use surgical gloves when handing out touchdown cookies?

But that's careful phrasing by Helton. He doesn't say that they have 100% vaccination, just 100% compliance with school policy. If Stanford players have exemptions, they too are 100% compliant with the policy.

119/123 USC players vaccinated based on Helton's quote and the USC roster.

Under current rules, all students on campus are being tested twice per week.
During fall quarter, unvaccinated will continue to be tested twice per week. Rules for vaccinated stents are TBD.
For fans at football games, current rules would have all of them them masked through the stadium and game. Whether the county and Stanford change this rule during the next 4 weeks remains to be seen.

Stanford released new COVID rules for fall quarter today.
https://healthalerts.stanford.edu/covid-19/2021/09/02/covid-19-update-and-new-protocols/
Among other things, indoor parties are banned until October 8.
The rules continue to imply that everybody will be wearing masks at
football games.
