At the risk of thread drift, much to the delight of my son, there is a Fart, VA and a Poopoo, HI.
With apologies to your son for bursting his bubble, and I know you know this already, the pronunciation is more like “Po-o-po-o” (4 syllables). But appetizers are called pupus. :)
No need to apologize, JJJ! My son knows about the pronunciation of poopoo and pupu. It's how it looks on paper. That's why he was also amused at the former name of Fugging, Austria.

The conference will have to decide whether it wants to keep the network in-house or whether it will turn control over to a partner, similar to the SEC and Big10.

Yeah, even before hiring a new conference CEO, the P12 presidents need to decide what to do with the P12 Network. Keep it and continue to invest? Disband it? Seek a partner or partners? The conference would not be negotiating from a position of strength. P12 football does not draw well on tv and I don't know how attractive the overall reach would be to a media partner. And a partner or partners would almost certainly not televise all of the non-football/basketball sports that we value so much.
One easy decision - eliminate the regional P12 networks.

I'm with Spiny Norman on this. The regional networks, while admirable in trying to promote non-revenue/Olympic sports, never worked as planned. I think folks will want to keep the flagship Pac-12 Network to keep up with the other conferences.

Some MBA student somewhere is working up a pitch involving Nike, NIL "rights" and a cash infusion into the Pac-12 Network.

BobK -
I was a freshman in HS when I was on a HS Easter break tour that started in NYC and ended in DC. We took a bus through the Amish country. The tour guide pointed out the town a mile from Intercourse. It's Paradise.

Missed that. However I did buy an Intercouse PA t-shirt.

No, not at all. I have some strong political opinions I debate on the appropriate forums. This is not the place for it.

I have no idea how connected this person is. Some names of relevance on that list that are of interest:
Bernard Muir
Oliver Luck

Some tidbits from Wilner:

The plan is to have the next commissioner in place when Scott leaves in June (duh)
Oregon President Michael Schill, Washington president Ana Mari Cauce and Washington State president Kirk Schulz are leading the search.

I'd love to see Muir take the job and Luck replace him

The LA Times story on Scott's departure said that the presidents should focus on someone with athletic director experience who can revive the football fortunes of the conference rather than someone with more of a media background.
I don't know if it is possible to revive the football fortunes of the conference. But there is one person out there with experience turning around a football program who has been an AD and who understands conference administration - Bob Bowlsby. However he is 69 years old and may be at his last job before retirement.
But if I was advising the search committee, I would suggest that they interview Bowlsby to get insight into the qualities they should be looking for.

Russ Kettover who has carried on the Steve Sabol tradition at NFL Films would be a great hire to run the PAC 12 Network. He could put a small group together to teach production value to the staff. The chief should be a business person.
We have a treasure in the Bay Area. The Chronicle’s Anne Killion. Go to SFGATE and read her Larry Scott column. Luddite here, maybe BC can post a link. Apparently and reading between the lines Scott trashed her in private as he has done to others in the past. Too bad that he can’t be impeached post facto and barred from working again.

Link to Killion's column. She is spot on. A 12-year deal was stupid beyond belief, way too long. So long Pinhead Larry don't let the door hit you on the way out!
