I think you're thinking of a wedding with >200 guests.

Lakewood, NJ had several incidents with weddings, two of which are discussed in this article: Cops break up two large weddings for defying coronavirus rules

Although I don't have the articles handy, I'm under the impression that there have been such incidents among some fundamentalist religious groups sprinkled around the country. Such recklessness is not common, at least in the parts I'm familiar with. Churches around here are trying to help out by organizing relief efforts, not obstructing distancing rules.

Setting aside people behaving badly in Florida, I haven't heard of ANY area church continuing to meet in person.  This is Silicon Valley and folks are both tech savvy and following the pandemic closely so many cancelled their Sunday services long before businesses locked up and are now using the same tools companies use to stay in contact with their members.  You can have your pick of Sunday morning Zoom broadcast services if such is your wish.  The rethinking extends past Sunday morning to all meetings during the week.

The only continuing outside gatherings I've seen have been focused on getting food and other necessities to homeless and jobless populations hardest hit by the downturn in a safe and sound manner - In my case stocking community drop-in centers with food at night/early morning and helping them with basic needs (extra refrigerators, etc).

I think churches around here have responded positively, but based on news reports the ones in the south have not.

Here's another experimental treatment that had some promising results:

drug called Actemra which apparently was used to treat those who's immune systems were getting overactive.

This is the IL6 blocker. Could be useful for patients who may be having a hyperactive immune response or cytokine storm type picture. Anecdotally may help some patients but not a miracle cure. Probably more useful for younger, otherwise healthy type patients but we don't yet. Need studies.

First descriptive (no control group) paper on the compassionate use of remdesivir, Gilead's anti-viral.

Sponsored by Gilead. Needs control group to really know how well this is working. 57% of intubated patients getting extubated is not a miracle cure though may be better than nothing.

Two Chinese studies with real controls (quadruple-blind* per the registry below) on Remdesivir are due to stop data collection in late April/early May.  So hopefully we'll have results not too long after.

*Didn't know that was a thing.  The only higher level of secrecy would be quintuple-blind, in which even the reader of the paper is not allowed to know which group was which.

Interesting idea: everyone can read the paper as supporting their preconceived bias.
