UA just snatched defeat from victory by blowing a 19 point fourth quarter lead. Last gasp FG attempt goes begging, and Arizona will not play in a bowl this year.

Rushing three and dropping eight has been a hallmark of futility for Stanford's defense this year, but against WSU, maybe it works if WSU doesn't have a tailback or a mobile QB.
Gotta beat kal and then figure out where Stanford's bowl game is going to be...I need to make travel plans if I can make it happen...

It’s only halftime, but the Trojans are up 10-7 on the domers. Me, I’m rooting for the sweet meteor of death. But if one of them has to win the football game, I’m rooting hard for Helton, as it makes it more likely USC keeps him, and it keeps purple face out of the playoffs.

Looks like it may not last (behind 14-10 now), but the only thing that would make me happier than a Pac-12 team knocking ND out of the CFP is us going to the Rose Bowl. Go Trojans.

No way SC wins this - I hope I eat my words. Can't stand book. ND would get destroyed by Bama (redux of prior championship game)

Sc has a chance to tie with 6 minutes to go.

UND with the dagger with 2 minutes left. They pass on third and five and get a 51 yard TD to go up 24-10.

Ok, wth happened in the Arizona-ASU game? Arizona seemed to have everything under control; and I looked after my shop, and ASU won?
Also, BYU is having its way with Utah. What a nightmare for the PAC-12.

Holy moly... TAMU vs LSU. 74-72 final in SEVEN overtimes.
Our boy Terrence Alexander made an appearance. Anyone question whether Alexander and Tucker could have helped us this year?

The LSU-A&M game that just ended is one of the craziest I have ever seen (and that includes our all-time win against Oregon this year). A&M completes a 25-yard TD to tie game as regulation expires (after A&M pulls off QB spike in less than second to preserve final second of game clock). Game goes 7 OT's (tied for longest game in NCAA football history), with Aggies beating Tigers 74-72. Add to that that LSU had a INT that was overturned in regulation due to the A&M QB's knee being down (and before the overturn, Orgeron actually got the Gatorade bath). This game literally could not have cost the Tigers more, as their remaining playoff and likely NY6 hopes are ended at Kyle Field.

Truly amazing! I’m not sure LSU’s completely out of the NY6 running, even with their 3 losses. The candidates to take their place also have 3 losses, and it seems like LSU may stay ahead of them - PSU, Kentucky, etc.
Wazzu’s place in the NY6 does seem more secure, though. And that means we’re still in the running for the Holiday.

Utah are close to stunning BYU in a non-conference rivalry game ahead of their appearance in the Pac-12 CCG next week. Have overcome 20-0 halftime deficit to take a 28-27 lead with the ball.

One of those candidates (Florida) beat LSU head-to-head. So that is one team that is definitively ahead of LSU.

Yep, Florida seems to be in. But as it stands, there ought to be room for Florida, Wazzu and one other team, which is likely to be LSU. That is, of course, assuming the favorites win their CCGs and don't let in the likes of Texas, Northwestern or whatever pathetic ACC team is playing Clemson this year.

What a comeback week end. Didn’t expect ASU or Utah to be able to come back from down three scores, but they did.
Glad we didn’t allow UCLA to come back from two scores down, but that was tension I didn’t need in my life.

Enjoyed watching the LSU-TAMU game. Very entertaining the back and forth.
Whoever's band it is that plays that annoying music between downs (think it's LSU's), you've succeeded if you were going for "as annoying as the condom band".

I agree that next week is going to be tough. That said, I watched a bit of the Colorado-California game and was not that impressed with Cal. The entire first half was a series of Colorado shooting itself repeatedly in the foot and setting up Cal scores. In fact, all of Cal's 24 first half points came off of Colorado turnovers (two pick sixes, a fumble leading to a TD and a fumble leading to a FG -- all deep in Colorado territory). Cal only had one full length drive for a TD, which came in the second half. Otherwise, they were more or less inert on offense with lots of three-and-outs. The Bears had a total of 12 first downs and 211 yards of offense. Colorado had 19 first downs and 318 yards of offense, but 5 turnovers. Yes, credit goes to the Cal defense for forcing some of these turnovers; but Cal is far from a complete team and struggles to move the ball. The key to beating Cal is NOT to give their offense good field position. Those two pick sixes in the first six minutes of play proved to be the difference. Cal is not built to score more than 20 points in a game if the opposing team isn't providing them with short fields. It was the same thing against USC and Washington. If we avoid costly turnovers, I'm convinced we win the battle. If we do what Colorado did, we lose. It's interesting that Colorado still had a shot late in the game despite all the turnovers.

You need to get the rules straight, TC. You’re not allowed to think we’re predictable here.
Yeah, since we won't be able to run the ball, their defense will be able to concentrate on harassing Costello and trying to force him into turnovers. Whether they succeed or not will have a great deal to do with who wins the game.

Cal has no chance to beat Stanford. They simply are impotent on offense. You'll be amazed how good Stanford's defense looks next week.

So what? They gained less than 250 yards, and scored no offensive TD. Cal can only win if they score on defense. UW is not a great offense this season. Neither is USC. Stanford, after realizing what its strength is this season, is too potent for Cal to overcome. Stanford will win by 14+ points. Book it.
