More football trivia.
The first football game I ever saw was the greatest one ever played: The 1958 Colts-Giants NFL championship game.
Without checking references, name the participants in that game who are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And what player set a championship game record in that game that lasted over 30 years?

Excluding to two Maras, each of whom made the Hall, you guys are two Colts and five Giants short, one of them a spectacular talent. Damn good job, though.
Tittle wasn't the Giants QB. Charley Connerly quarterbacked most of the game, in relief of a guy whose name I don't remember.
Also noteworthy:Â The Giants fumbled six times.

For Colts: Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, Alan Ameche
For Giants: Frank Gifford, Sam Huff, Kyle Rote, Roosevelt Grier?
These are pure guesses from a childhood spent listening to the Giants on the radio.
Edit: Above was only 4 correct out of 7 guesses. And left out many, since identified by others. Alan Ameche scored the winning TD but not HOF. Kyle Rote and Roosevelt Grier also not HOF.
Thanks for putting this out there Hulk. It brought back some great childhood memories and filled some time before the Masters telecast today!
Geaux Cardinal!

Got all the Colts (Jim Parker was the big star I was looking for.)Â One Giant missing from your lists/guesses.
Still missing at least four participants, other than the two Maras, who are in The Hall

Great question, Hulk. Same question for the AAFC, ten years earlier. The All American Football Conference began right after WWII in 1946 and lasted for four seasons through 1949. The Colts, Browns and 49ers then joined the NFL.
The Browns, behind the great Otto Graham won all four AAFC championships, playing the 49ers in the last AAFC championship game in 1949. So I'm asking the same question Hulk asked. How many NFL Hall of Famers were on both teams during the last AAFC championship game and who were they?
Re: Football trivia -
BobK - 04-07-2018
Joe Perry, 49ers.
Otto Graham and Lou Groza, Browns.
Good one, got to think.Â
