Stanford T&F Preview:  The Sprinters and Hurdlers

This is the 2nd of a series on Stanford Track & Field for 2018.  The first scheduled meet is Saturday Jan 13, Indoor in Seattle. 
Here is their 2018 Schedule with the Pac 12 Championships at Stanford.

I will list the top athletes in each event, although many more will be competing in some cases.  I will also list where an athlete might be on Stanford’s Top 10 of All Time by listing the position and AT for All Time.

MEN: 
100/200:  School Records:  10.39, 20.33, 6.80, 60m Indoors.  Frosh Records, 10.39, 20.93.    All the record holders played Football also.  Six of our top 100 AT played Football.

4 X 100 Relay:  School Record 39.64 converted from hand time 1965 and was the World Record at the time.  Yep I was there. 
We shall see.  


4 X 400 Relay:  School Record 3:05.59
The School Record and the # 2 time ever set by three of the above, in 2016.    A sub 3:08 certainly possible.

Bowman was very good in HS but I don’t recall he ran at Stanford.
However David Shaw did and I was there and did t remember seeing him when he told me

Bowman's bio in the football media guide said that he ran the 100 and 200 during the 2001 season.

Men
Navarro a Frosh 6.92 in the 60 ties #10
In the 3K Frosh McGorty to #4 AT
In the seldom run 600 we have new AT at 2-4-5


Women
Baker now 5th best ever in the 1K and Won the 600 just missing her school record.  In the 600 also a Frosh to 2 AT and another runner to
4AT
Allman won the weight throw 2nd only to her school record
