Respectfully disagree Bob. He is simply not big enough to be a featured running back in the NFL. He can't take the pounding at his size. Needs to show that he can be a receiver either in the slot or out of the backfield. He also has not proven to be a very effective pass blocker.

I'd be surprised if he's a first-round pick in the 2018 draft. I think he has an opportunity to solidify himself as a Top 15 pick if he comes back and shows that he's a more versatile player than he's shown to date. He also could stand to add 10 lbs or so on his frame.

Bet ya Win and hope I lose.    You do know he can gain 10 pounds with his pro team or with Turley anyway.

Well, he caught 23 passes as a frosh, so we know he has at least some hands.  His blocking may be a question as well.  We'll see.

Winflop, that may be what would increase his value, but you can bet if he comes back, he will run the plays he ran this year. That is what makes him most effective at Stanford in the eyes of the coaching staff. That isn't going to change. There won't be a "Bryce Love development program". It wouldn't be fair to the other players. He knows that, so if he comes back next year, it will be to run the ball.

I do agree with you there. CMac could always make it as a receiver if he didn't make it as a runner. Bryce Love doesn't have that to fall back on. However, second round isn't chopped liver, either!

So Love gets drafted 50 abd signs for 4 years $5M    That’s based on last year’s projections.

I hope not. I have a hard enough time hating Seattle with Doug Baldwin and Richard Sherman there. And as a 49er fan I need to hate Seattle...

Here's the latest on Love. According to Shaw he's been thinking about the game and not on his decision on the NFL.

Like Shaw, I hope he sticks around.

I hope you're wrong because that would be a shame. He is underutilized if he's not going out on at last a few pass plays - one of my frustrations with the offense this year. He did it as a freshman but that wasn't as the feature back. I really think if he could even catch 2 balls a game that'd be enough.
