Anyone notice on the Utah telecast how desperately the commentators were trying to tout that Love had finally met his match, that Utah's run defense was unbreakable, etc., etc. Then as soon as Love popped the TD, they jumped right back on the Love-train and were all about how no one can stop him and he's the greatest since Zeus, etc. I guess it's all about ratings. There IS a big story to tell, it's just a matter of finding it or making it up if needed.
Yes, I noticed that too. In fact, I was wondering if they did the same thing to Barkely when he was struggling in his game. I didn't watch the Penn State game. Until Bryce broke his long run, they made the story of the game the fact that he was being bottled up by Utah.

The announcers for both were pretty similar, especially when both broke their long TD runs. "You can't bottle him up forever!" You might be able to switch the reaction and have trouble telling which was which.
Anyway, I think some people are being way overly sensitive about this. The announcing is fine and if Love doesn't win the Voldemort it'll be primarily because the team lost too many games.

Have you ever played the game, Max?
No. Can't say that I have.
Lots of good exchanges in that movie, even if it is rife with the most basic editing errors.
#1 pet peeve: Hobbs breaks his homer drought in Chicago when Glenn Close character stands in his last AB. Everyone is leaving and the reporters all crowd around Hobbs who has evidently won the game for the Knights. But when is the last time you've seen a walk off homer by a player on the visiting team? C'mon now . . .
Also, when Hobbs 'rips the cover off the ball' in his first AB for the Knights and slides into a muddy3B and wrecks his uni, the post game walk down the hallway with Pop (the manager) and the media alongside show Roy in a spanking clean uni. Again, c'mon now . . .

Agree with stupac... several times the announcers said something to the effect of he could break one any time: in fact, they said it literally before his touchdown run. I might have been annoyed at it had i been a Utah fan.

That movie had an unusual number of errors:
