Got mine too!

On a slightly related subject, does anyone know who would be a good person to contact regarding the bag policy for further questions?  Would Rich Muschell be the right person there or is there someone else?

here's the AD directory

I think Jamie Breslin, Associate Athletics Director • Facilities, Operations and Events, or someone in his org would be a better person to contact than Rich on this topic

Thanks!  He was out of the office this week, but I was able to talk to Chris Dorst in his department and Chris was very helpful in answering my questions.

They are still figuring out the card question.

I don't think you need a card this year.  My "print at home" tickets have an "I am a Season Ticket Member" in a red circle with the Stanford logo in the upper left corner of the ticket.

No cards this year - STM tickets are marked.  However, the issue isn't the marking it's the enforcement.  I've been told there will be better enforcement as well as better staffing at all gates.

Apparently there will also be improved traffic flow.  We usually park/tailgate in Lot 7 off Arboretum.

Great to hear no card will be needed. Marking the tickets is a much better solution.

No solution works if there's no enforcement.

My problem was of the opposite variety, where Stanford failed to send me a card and there was enforcement. But yeah, if there is no enforcement, the special gates won't be a benefit.

Slightly OT but I received an email from WVB today that included the attached image of items that can be brought in (turns out the lists cover both Stanford Stadium and Maples). A lot of items are permitted but need to be in clear bags or carried on their person. (note: the link doesn't show the image I'm referring to, which is why I attached it below, but it describes in words all the details)

Re: Season Ticket Member gift box - stupac2 - 08-26-2016

I finally got around to watching the Rose Bowl DVD and as far as I could tell it was just the TV broadcast with commercials cut out. I was hoping for some extra commentary from coaches and players, but oh well, having easy access to these games is nice.

Re: Season Ticket Member gift box - donkey687 - 08-26-2016

I never received mine. I opted for electronic ticket delivery.  Did anyone who elected for electronic ticket delivery receive the gift box?

The seem to have gone out in waves. Mine arrived last Wed., some others in our group got theirs this week.

Re: Season Ticket Member gift box - stupac2 - 08-29-2016

Continuing along the ridiculous whipsaw ride that is the new policy, diaper bags actually are allowed this year per the most recent e-mail (and my request for clarification to athletics). The All Clear page still has the graphic showing that they're banned but the last bullet point says they're okay: http://www.gostanford.com/news/2016/7/11/all-clear.aspx

Re: Season Ticket Member gift box - fullmetal - 08-29-2016

They're just making it up as they go, I guess.

The speculation is that this is all due to the insurance companies involved, so my guess is Stanford got a ton of pushback from various parents and then found out that the insurers were fine with it. But who the hell knows, it's been strange and inexplicable.

EDIT: Oh man there's also this: New concession items at Stanford Stadium include: footlong corn dog, spinach artichoke dip with chips, salted caramel pudding, butter cake with Haagen-Dazs, crab cakes, pesto cream penne, ragu bolognese penne, loaded baked potato soup, and smash pea and barley soup.

Our concessions are starting to get weird.

What kind of market analysis report did they read...?

Crab cakes... I'll make sure to bring by $600 epipen with me (sadly, I'm allergic to crustaceans).  Salted caramel pudding sounds good.

"It's best to be everything to everyone".

I mean, I'm not fussy, I enjoy the terrible middle-school-cafeteria cheeseburgers on occasion, but the expanded selection last year was definitely welcome. Nonetheless, that list of items is pretty darn weird.

Re: Season Ticket Member gift box - pefloresjr - 08-29-2016

People actually eat at the concession stands?!  I'm usually so full of food and booze from tailgating that I've never actually looked at the menus in the stadium.  A good salted caramel pudding might just be enough to get my attention this year.  Thanks for the info.

Relating back to the Gift Box, I did get real, old-fashioned ticket booklets.  I usually save my tickets for at least the year just in case something historic happens.  I've kept nearly all of my Big Game, other big game, and bowl game tickets.  I've actually moved them into the new cool Gift Box.  I'm hoping that one of these years I will have a complete set from our National Championship year.  Not woofing, just keeping hope alive.

Cheers,
Pete F.

Great idea! I have a set of real tickets for the inaugural Pac-12 Championship... to which we *didn't* go. It was surreal... I guess they needed to print them up in advance. I wonder how much money they burned on them....
