Darnay Holmes discusses Stanford toward the end of the interview; says he has had only limited contact with coaches, plans to "calm down" the number of future visits. No plans for an official visit to Stanford. It doesn't look too good...

Since that time, end-year Junior grades and standardized test scores have been received. Those who do not have a chance will move on. Some who still have a chance may choose not to do the additional work necessary to solidify their admissions probability. Our recruiting board experiences a decent amount of "whale" attrition at this time every year because of these realities. Of course, it can also be because they favor somewhere else where they feel more comfortable.

I wonder if there are any possible Devery Hamiltons this class, guys who had Stanford in their top schools, committed elsewhere at this time of year, and ultimately went full stealth and flipped to Stanford late.  Prytz flipped late, but he was never associated with Stanford at this time last year IIRC, whereas Hamilton was.

Pryts visited in June and had Stanford in his top 5 before choosing PSU in August.
To answer your question, yes, I think there will be a stealth this year, but I don't have anyone particular in mind.

We have 13 openings right now and probably 17 come LOI day.  We have 8 commits although McElwain must be a bit iffy and Lund may or may not go on a mission.  2 of the 8 are returning from a mission.
