And, when an offeree's top priorities are playing football at a high level and getting a great education there is only one choice: Stanford. This summer there are more uncommitted recruits than normal that fit this profile:

Aeneas Dicosmo  WDE
Kenan Christon  RB
Kaiir Elam  CB
Elijah Higgins  WR
Cornelius Johnson  WR
Jonathan McGill  S
Tymon Mitchell   DT
Ryan Sanborn   P
Tristan Sinclair   ATH
Maninoa Tufono   ILB

....just a little edit to help out those not as well-versed in the recruiting pool (like me!)

Sinclair is a legacy. That concludes my knowledge of the list above.

Great in theory but a couple not possible.
SAT or is it the ACT test results due today so that will be a great indicator of where we stand

RE: Class of 2019 - TinderForMidgets - 07-12-2018

Maninoa Tufono just declared his top 5 and we aren't in it...

RE: Class of 2019 - OutsiderFan - 07-12-2018

My #1 ILB hope is Kane Patterson, who 247 shows as an OLB and solidly to Alabama.

Stanford seems to have only offered FIVE LBs TOTAL so far and Tafuno was one of them. Either the coaching staff feels really confident about getting 2/4 of the remaining uncommitted and offered guys, or there are going to be more LB offers coming very soon.

Kane Patterson committed to Ohio State recently. We naturally offer very few guys. Also we got a ILB last class with 3-star Ricky Miezan.

RE: Class of 2019 - BobK - 07-12-2018

Actually technically we have offered more than 10 LBers.  Right now it’s 5 not 4 uncommitted
Kane has flipped before so maybe a shot if he has an App.

Really? His history at 247 says nothing of flipping. It says that he's only committed once.

RE: Class of 2019 - OutsiderFan - 07-12-2018

Hey, Bob, who are the other LB offers other than Dean, Tafuno, Patterson, Liatu, and Brown?

Is Stanford recruiting Sinclair as a LB or Safety?  He seems like a tweener.

Not Bob, but am in the know a bit.

Sinclair is an ILB. Also recruiting Aeneas DiCosmo for LB.

OK, so now add Sinclair and DiCosmo to the others I mentioned and there are 7 LB offers. If I were to assume Pakola and Herron Jr. are being recruited as on OLB we would have 9 total LB offers.  Who is #10?

ILB: Tafuno, Dean, Patterson, Sinclair, Brown
OLB: DiCosmo, Latu, Herron Jr., Pakola

Whether Pakola is being recruited as an OLB or DL, I'm ready to sound the alarm bell on DL recruiting (once again). Going by 247, there are only FOUR DL offers right now.  Hopefully like LB, there are more DL offers that haven't been reported.

Apparently, the June SAT had a steep curve; might hurt some prospects...

Given that "going by 247, there were only" FIVE LB offers right now and we know that it was off by a factor of 2, it seems reasonable to conclude that we actually have more DL offers out.

That's not even true, and your second assertion has no bering on the first.  Most of the LB offer discrepancy was based on the fact 247 had guys Bob says Stanford has offered as LBs, listed at other positions. But I'm still waiting to find out if Stanford offered Pakola as a OLB or DL.  He's listed as a WDE on 247, as are DiCosmo and Herron Jr. Sinclair is listed as and ATH.

I kind of thought the polar opposite.

RE: Class of 2019 - BobK - 07-13-2018

Hey Outsider Fan.   There is a tread today on the bootleg about how off the 247 data base is and that 247 people can add subtract give hot medium cold recruiting leans toward Stanford.    That’s why the accurate info is behind the paywall.

Just so you understand why what you see for free isn’t so accurate

RE: Class of 2019 - BobK - 07-21-2018

Next Saturday is Jr day at Stanford. Hope we get a couple of commits.   Maybe more offers.

Is this Junior Day for class of 2019 or 2020?  Seems a little late to have a Junior Day for class of 2019 signees, since they are almost Seniors.

Right.  Post Jrs rising Srs
