OF's star predictions. In no particular order:
- Michael Williams
- Kaden Smith
- Andrew Pryts
- Donald Stewart
- Thomas Schaffer
- Obi Eboh
- Henry Hattis
- Simi Fehoko
Costello, Robinson, Speights, and others may be good, but these are the guys I just really liked a lot on video. They stood out as players I would want on my team regardless of rating.Â

My favorite list (in no particular order):
 Donald Stewart
 Henry Hattis
 Simi Fehoko
While Stwart and Hattis need time to develop, Simi will join the team in 2018. I don't expect to see them contributing immediately but I cannot hold my excitements to be able to see them on the field!!!

My impression of the guys that the staff seems to like above their service ratings are:
Herbig
Pryts
Fehoko
and maybe Peek.

I'm not sure how Herbig can fail, really; to be able to move that much mass that well, and at a young and not yet fully developed each, seems freakish to me.
Ditto on Pryts.Â
Almost certainly on Robinson, assuming he can keep his incredible speed after gaining twenty pounds.
The majority of posters seem to vastly underestimate Stewart, and some services do, too, because they rank receivers based on how they would fit in the dominant schemes in college football. But Stewart is the ideal Stanford wide receiver--a tall, long guy who can go downfield and take the ball away from anyone who contests him; I'd say "catch radius" ranks about sixth among the criteria the rating services use or, more accurately, the evaluators who actually have set and credible criteria other than speed, quickness, and performance in seven on seven camps. And blocking ability, which really matters, is not even considered--and Stewart (and Segina, btw) are very game and good blockers.
Hamilton may be the surest thing of them all, actually. Great length, great feet, and a proven ability to shut down the best defensive end in high school football. And Yarbrough, likely at the RT, may not be a drop off from him.

I know they are highlights, yet I was struck (pun?) by how when Pryts hits people they go backwards or at best sideways--but not forward. That kind of power & sure tackling reminded me of a great Stanford safety who will go nameless until we all see more to justify such a comparison.  ;)

Further to this, and I really hope I eat my words someday, but I did (several times while watching his highlights) think "I wonder if he'll be able to outrun Pac-12 defenders when he tries his east-west cutbacks across the field before turning north-south."

Right, I would not guess that Speights has seen elite in-state competition. McAllen Memorial eked out a 3 pt win over United South (Laredo) in the first round of the UIL playoffs, and then Memorial lost by two TDs to neighboring Harlingen in UIL 6A D1. Interestingly enough, of their regular season games, Memorial played seven games at home and three games away.

I think every running back in the NCAA last year was more than a little drop off from McCaffrey. I doubt anyone over 50 on this board ever sees his equal again--anywhere. I've never seen a performance like his in the Rose Bowl--not Sayers, not Sanders, not Bo Jackson. No one.

+1 here! I saw some of this from Cmac in 2014 and thought he was that rare talent. I joked that he would be our next Voldemort runner-up. I'm sad to say that it has come to pass. My hope is that he breaks the runner-up streak with a year equal to or better than last, but that's going to be a tough road with some many new players.Â
Smart, incredibly talented and humble - CMAC deserves to win! I haven't seen anyone even close.

Stats wise sure but lets not go insane there have been better backs Reggie Bush, and Ricky Williams come to mind

That was a very encouraging article. I wonder if Harrington's QB read this article and saw his coach just say point blank, "We just didn't have anyone that could get Scooter the ball." And then he goes on to say that he can essentially catch anything thrown near him. Ouch! Hopefully, that QB has other 40-year options.
