Three Phillies have done it, including Schmidt. Two Dodgers (including Green) have done it. Just the one Giant. Also a single hitter each: Mariner, Ranger, Blue Jay, Cardinal, Brave, Diamondback, Boston Beaneater (first to do it in 1894), Yankee, Indian, Red, White Sox.

You're right, Bob...Gil Hodges. Terry, great guesses, it was Gehrig. Phillies was indeed Chuck Klein, also early Hall of Famer Ed Delahanty (1912) and Mike Cameron in 2002. Rangers was Josh Hamilton in 2012. Bob Horner of the Braves in 1986. Someone named Scooter Gennett of the Reds in 2017, and also in 2017 was JD Martinez of the Diamondbacks. I saw JD play in Detroit when I lived there, always hoped the Giants could acquire him. Pat Seerey of the White Sox in 1948. Carlos Delgado of the Blue Jays in 2003. 

Six American Leaguers, 12 National Leaguers. Six Hall of Famers. Six lefties, 12 righties. Delahanty's and Horner's 4 HR games were the only two that were losses. 10 of the 18 were outfielders, 5 in right. No catchers or shortstops. 1 second baseman, Lowe.

Scooter Gennett played for the Giants in, I think, 2018.  (Edit - 2019) Not well and not long. Gennett was a second baseman.
