Verlander is #2 with 482 starts. The leader has 516.
Adam Wainwright?
Greinke. Tremendously underrated pitcher.
Lex got it - Greinke with 516.
Wainright is #6 with 390.

Gehrig and McCovey are correct! Gehrig had 23 grand slams, McCovey had 18.
Foxx and Aaron almost made this list. Foxx had 17 grand slams, Aaron had 16.
The list of players with 18+ grand slams looks like this:
25 ???
23 Gehrig
21 ???
19 ???
18 McCovey
18 ???
Thought I had No 1 and I did, but I looked it up after so I cant post.
I’ll give a hint as to one on the list (not no 1). He beat Giants on home Opening Night (not a typo Giants home opener was at night that year) with a 9th inning Grand Slam in a tie game. 8 years later he had another AB with bases loaded game tied in 10th vs Giants. This one went better for the Giants. And led to a former Stanford players most memorable moment….
I went to the GS opener game. It was so damn cold I almost didn’t care. Sure as hell didn’t want extras.
Brian Johnson is the former Stanford player. I don’t remember any of the Dodgers who were victims of Rod Beck that day. I do remember listening to the game while driving on 680 in Walnut Creek. When Johnson went deep, the guy in the car next to me started waving his arms like crazy. I was just as happy; however, I moved over a lane to give him some space…..

Three of the remaining players on this list were 500+ home run guys.
The fourth player was a good player, but not someone you would expect to see among the all-time grand slam leaders. He had 294 career homers. He played third base, mostly for the White Sox and also for the Mets.
All four of the remaining players were active in the 1990s, although they were at different stages in their careers.

Murray hit into DP, home to first with bases loaded no one out in 10th. 4-2- 3. One hopper to Kent, playing in. After about 8 , I couldn’t watch anymore. So, I started driving around listening.
He hit the GS in the 9th 8 years earlier on opening night.

The top five pitchers in career shutouts all are old-timers:
110 Walter Johnson
90 Grover Alexander
79 Christy Mathewson
76 Cy Young
69 Eddie Plank
The next five pitchers in career shutouts all played between 1940 and 2000. Who are they?
63 ???
61 ???
61 ???
60 ???
58 ???
Bonus question: Who is the active leader in career shutouts?

Koufax
Drysdale
Current leader, Verlander.
