Seriously, I'd like to think that Stanford is at the top of his list, but if we are, why would he be wearing that U$C visor?
Well, I seem to remember Josh Garnett sporting Michigan gear and Stanford fans freaking out about that, a month or two before he committed to Stanford.

Was Garnett sporting one while he was talking to a reporter about how he had narrowed down his college choices and would soon make a decision? That's what I find troubling, not the mere fact that he has been spotted wearing one.
He may still pick Stanford, though. Hope he does. I also hope Shaw has someone almost as good in mind if he doesn't.

Once he makes his decision, we can incorporate his pre-decision visor wearing habits into our recruiting predictions formula for use with all recruits in the future. We just need a "few" more data points and we'll have this thing cracked... ;D

Believe me, I understand that the following comment is an example of a pot calling a kettle black. Is that picture just unflattering or is he wearing a rib protector? Or what? Shannon Turley will be salivating to work with this young man. What was Ty Montgomery's body fat % as an entering freshman? Isn't it something like 5% now?
OL pool -
TrumpCard - 03-10-2015
One name I haven't seen mentioned is Marcus Tatum. He's a kid from Daytona Beach with offers from UF, Miami, and Auburn. He's also said that he wants an offer from Stanford. I think Ben Bredeson, Luke Wattenberg and Matt Farnoik have been mentioned on this site as well, though I don't see them on Hulk's list. Adding those 4 to the 3 on Hulk's list, Stanford's pool apparently includes 7 guys rated among the top 40 OTs in the country. That puts the lower rated among the pool on par with Davidson, Yankey, Fleming, Danser, and Martin, all of whom had a 247 composite position ranking between 38 and 45. Any one of the 7 in the pool would fill the team's OT need and any two would create a nice stable for the future.

When I posted about the 2016 class, I had too little information about Bredeson and Farniok to put them in the "possibles."
Plus Bredeson comes from Wisconsin, where the Badgers roam and where our hit rate has never been good. (Veterans will recall our dashed hopes with Jake Long.) And Farniok lives in South Dakota, which raised a similar concern because Midwestern kids rarely venture far.Â
Since then, we've heard Bredeson call us "the mecca of academics" and mention us on his six-team short list.
And if Farniok wants to stay close to home in Sioux Falls, the Universities of Minnesota and Iowa are his only close-enough, BCS school options. He may see the Gophers as rising, and knows Iowa has a record of turning out NFL offensive linemen. So our chances may hinge on whether he sees us as a mecca, too, and finds that compelling. But Matt Nelson had a 4.0 and aspirations of becoming a surgeon, and his commitment to Iowa seemed another reminder that even academic-minded Midwesterners can decide a pretty good, nearby school is good enough.
It helps us, of course, if a recruit comes from a professional family that might make those fine distinctions between "elite" universities and good ones. Farniok's family does not appear to be. His dad runs a security service in Sioux Falls.Â
Sioux Falls isn't the farm town most Cardboarders might expect. It's actually the white collar hub of the state, and kids from there often favor brighter lights and bigger cities. That may help us a bit. But his recruitment looks like a long shot.
I didn't mention LW because no one had confirmed a Stanford offer. It appears the staff has issued one, and he may be the best bet of this threesome.Â

Just curious, but doesn't it seem excessive to offer one guy 10 times? Is there any advantage over making a single offer.

What a terribly written article

Does "cats" mean something I don't understand?
It's got to be tough to overcome both parents being SC alums.
