I am guessing we get one of her and Daniels but not two but we are a different school which attracts from more than one dimension!

To add the various plaudits our commits have received lately, Jones was named to the
MaxPreps 2018-19 All-American List's five-player First Team, Belibi and Brink were named to the Second Team, and perhaps most happily, Jana Van Gytenbeek was named to the Fourth Team. Considering she was ranked around 55th by ESPN HoopGurlz when she committed to Stanford, I'd say she's considerably upped her recruit value given that most of the players are seniors and even then she was named among the 20 best in the country. Here's what Max Preps had to say:
Quote:Cherry Creek surprised a lot of folks with that Colorado 5A title, but Van Gytenbeek's exceptional season did not. The 18.3 points and 5.1 assists per game were right in line what people expected.
And a team that included her, Belibi, and Brink just finished 3rd in the
U18 3x3 National Championship, while Jones teamed with UConn commit Paige Bueckers, Domer commit Samantha Brunelle, and Haley Van Lith to finish second.
Future's looking mighty bright. 8)

Treasure Hunt from the winning team just replaced Azzi Fudd as my all-time favorite WBB name.

Surprising but it's hard to be disappointed when we already have the best post recruit in the 2020 class in Brink. And if this makes it easier to get Daniels, then no big loss.

Terrible news for Fudd. Perhaps this will bring more importance to the "40 year decision" aspect of her college choice.

Well I did start to feel “green” with envy for a bit, but I repressed it. I’ll resume if I find out we were ever seriously in play for one of these 5-stars.

I'm not too envious of Oregon's recruiting class. Lots of really good players but not sure if any of them is a real difference maker at the college level. We have one of the difference makers in our 2020 class in Brink.

I said it a couple of posts ago and I'm repeating it again. Really nice class for Oregon with a lot of very good players. But I don't see any college 1st team All Americans in that group. Wouldn't trade our '19 or '20 classes for Oregon's since I think Jones, Belibi and Brink have All-American level talent.

Moore and Ionescu would be an interesting backcourt. Too bad there’s only one ball.
