Yep. My dad was Movietone News bureau chief and DP. I remember going on the field with him and talking to Chris Burford who started for Dallas. Among others were Lennie Dawson and Abner Haynes. I think the Raiders had Don Manoukian so Stanford guys on both sides. The Texans were much better than the Raiders.
Little Al was Al LoCasle who was Mr. Davis’ combination assistant, PR guy and chief hatchet man.

Sept. 23, 1973 v. Miami. There was a scheduling conflict with the A’s at the Coliseum.
Following that game, the city of Berkeley created a special tax on professional games played within the city limits. That precluded future Raider games from being played there.

This was mentioned the other day after Bryce Young won. Mater Dei (no surprise). Huarte and Leinart were the others.
A non-sports trivia question (mostly for Phogge):
This actress was nominated for an academy award (best actress) for her role in an iconic film.
1. Subsequently she declared that there were no movie parts that interested her.
2. For the next fifteen years she worked in theater.
3. At that point she took a role in another iconic film and was again nominated for an academy award (best supporting actress).
Summary: back-to-back Oscar nominations spaced 15 years apart.
