Does that imply she's no longer a possibility? In theory it wouldn't have to, but it doesn't sound good.
Saw some post yesterday that she'd narrowed her list down to Utah, Oregon, and Baylor (I think).

Bella Flemmings is down to her top 5 and we are not in it. I think our best top prospect chances for 2026 are Amari Byles and Kaeli Wynn.

My unofficial but super consistent (and publicly available) method of figuring out which WBB recruits are still in play suggests Stanford *may* have offered 4* Canadian guard Jordyn Wheeler

No. 9 Brihanna Crittendon, F
6-3 | Riverdale Ridge HS (CO) | Uncommitted
College comparison: Nunu Agara, Stanford Cardinal
Crittendon has taken a major step forward with her motor and her 3-point consistency. The versatile forward's size and gracefulness has always stood out, but her game is less erratic now, the steadiness complementing her high-volume scoring.
Agara, meanwhile, plays all over the floor, allowing Stanford to take advantage of her skill set against different matchups. She can stretch the floor but also play down in the low post to hunt efficient scoring opportunities. As a result, she averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds last season. Crittendon may be a more prolific scorer in high school (26.4 points a game), but Agara was slightly more prepared to play multiple positions in college than Crittendon currently projects.

Not that social media is a reliable source... but I fear Crittendon has taken Stanford out of the running, as she isn't following any of their socials.

Kaeli Wynn is on campus right now. Posted an instagram story of the women's team practicing.
Haven't seen much of her play, seems like she was stock riser. At first glance, reminds me of an Alysha Clark type, which is intriguing. Can't think of any player at Stanford in the past in the mold. Undersized but strong inside, doesn't have the quicks or handles of a typical perimeter player, but very heady, moves well without the ball, always looking to find a good pass opportunity, and will hit open shots out to beyond the arc.

We have our first 2026 commit, Jordyn Wheeler. Her high school website lists her as a 6’0” guard. Good size, seems quick and athletic. Would like to know more about her defense but if she’s a very good perimeter defender then would seem to fit what we need from this class.

Seems like a legit method.
ESPN ranks her 99 in the class of 2026.

Thanks Paulo. Lepolo has a redshirt year. I don’t know her or Stanford coaches thoughts on a 5 th year.

Terrific chart. Thanks for the good work! Not a mistake, as there's a lot of sites that have Lara Somfai at 6'4", but I saw the updated Stanford roster has her at 6'3". Based on photos I've seen of her standing next to other Stanford players, 6'3" seems about right.

Looks like we've missed out on the super-elite of the '26 Class, if we can get some quality contributors like Wynn, that's okay. But that puts more pressure to land a top-5 recruit (or two) in '27.
Do we have any shot at Kaleena Smith? She seems to be the next superstar guard in the making

Amari Byles will visit in October - looks like Stanford gets the last visit. Stanford may be clinging on to some hope for Bjorn or Abii...

I stand by my previous post our best top prospect chances for 2026 are Amari Byles and Kaeli Wynn. We have a tremendous 2025 class. Would take a solid(good) 2026 class. ESPN has Wynn at 15 and Byles ranked at 22.

Wynn/Byles/Wheeler would be a great class for most programs - two top 25 players and another top 100. UNC had a similar class last year that was ranked #5 by ESPN. Would also be similar to Demetre/Iriafen/Harriel, which was definitely top ten. Fingers crossed on these visits!

Yes, but we should aspire to be better than most programs, especially if we don't want to wait another 30 years for a national title. When USC hauls in three #1 recruits in six years and the free agent (*ahem* transfer) market is usually not available to us, we need to score on elite recruits.
Also, Iriafen obviously turned out to be a great recruit but Demetre underperformed expectations (in my books) - solid, but not great and then Harriel's been okay, not on the same level as the guards we've faced over the last couple years, like Saniya Rivers or Aziaha James from NC State or an Olivia Miles from Notre Dame.
