you'll say just about anything to defend "your man". Go back the the Ben Gardner injury. Those games should have been blowouts but Shaw turtled and our starters had to play close games to the gun.

Although the penalties offset, these are the plays from Chryst that give false hope to the coaches. "Oh, if only he can keep on doing this play." But he won't.
Also they need to let Wedington run actual routes. Every time they trot him out there it's usually one of those quick screens.

My guess is that Shaw was so convinced with Chryst after the last two games that Costello probably didn't get many reps with the first team during the week.

No, it is a ridiculous statement to think it is anything but ridiculous to believe that anything about Shaw screams point shaving. At one point, Shaw was something like 9-4 against the spread in a season.

Your reading comprehension just can't be helped. There was a clause to begin the sentence. I wasn't accusing him of actually shaving points. He coaches "as though" he is shaving points.
