Correct on both questions! Mays had 141 career triples, which is the most triples of any 500 home run hitter. Ruth had 136 career triples.
There's one more player with 500 HRs and 100 triples.
And which 500 homer guy had the fewest triples?

You got it -- Mark McGwire. He hit just 6 triples in his career, 4 of them in his first full major league season.
Frank Thomas had the second fewest triples of any 500 homer guy (12).

It's funny how Barry Bonds, Ted Williams, Mel Ott and Mickey Mantle all had close to the same number of career triples; 77, 71, 72 and 72 respectively. Bonds was fast when he was young, then slower as a PED fueld athlete, Ted Williams was VERY slow, Mel Ott (like Babe Ruth) was thrown out in more than half his stolen base attempts and Mickey Mantle was one of the fastest players ever.

Interesting. Lou Gehrig missed 500 home runs by 7, he had 493. If he'd had seven more home runs, he'd be far and away the triples leader with 163.
