Very nice.
Funny that he uses the "verbally committing" term. While accurate from a technical standpoint, it seems odd to include that and feels like it leaves a little wiggle room. I'm sure it's nothing, but caught my eye.

In the most recent data available, which includes the class that entered in 2008 - then averaged back to include four years total, Stanford football had an actual graduation rate of 92% and a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 99%.

We have had a number of denials in other sports this go around. They just don't get the PR that Football does. Happens every year. Stanny, Stanford has accepted a few based on 5th semester grades. Not FB but remember LOI for most sport is 3 months before FB.Â

Are you kidding? These commits talk with the other commits and recruits and with the coaches all the time. We get our news from Twitter after the fact. If you subscribe to Andy, you get more, but still limited.

I think you misinterpret my question. Obviously I know that they know more about the program and their recruitment than I do.Â
I'm wondering, as a curious fan, what they know. I'd like to be enlightened as to what they may be hearing that is causing them to decommit.Â
This is a fan board. We are allowed to theorize and chat about our team.Â
My uneducated and Andy-less guess: there's a lot of talent already playing for/committed to Stanford in the secondary. Especially with the news of Hoffpauir coming back making it even more crowded. Edmonds/Ulloa probably realize that they realistically wouldn't get a starting role until their junior or senior years. They probably want to play as freshman to optimize their chances of playing in the NFL. Especially with Edmonds going to Cal where the fans at BI think he will likely be an automatic-starter at corner.
