He really does remind you of his dad:

With our glut of running backs, I wonder whether we\'d use him as a Percy Harvin/Reggie Bush type and get him touches in all sorts of ways.

Wow, he is Real Fast.  Definitely not a Nick Montana type.

Re: Barry Sanders update - ealtice - 05-23-2011

I read somewhere, I believe, that he was recovering from a major injury.  Has anyone else heard that, or have any information regarding his recovery?

I always wonder if HS players who have suffered serious injuries might consider Stanford more seriously.  Pehaps makes them face the possibility that football might end before reaching the NFL, and then a Stanford degree might look particularly good.  Just a thought

Re: Barry Sanders update - StannyBoy - 05-23-2011

This article from last year says a 3.2; could be higher by now.

http://www.kansas.com/2010/11/21/1598130/son-stakes-claim-to-sanders-football.html

He\'s not a Jr and hates being called that. And yes, I remember hearing something about a bad injury but that doesn\'t seem to be stopping any schools from offering. Also found this snippet:

"It\'s been a while since we had an update on ESPNU 150 Watch List RB Barry Sanders II of Oklahoma, but now we have one courtesy of Josh Newberg of Noles247.com."

"Newberg hears that Sanders has dropped Alabama from his top two in place of Stanford, with Florida State still in the mix. Newberg states flat out that the Noles and the Cardinal are the front-runners for Sanders."

How did Stanford make such an immediate impression? A source tells Newberg that Sanders loved a recent unoffical to The Farm. "One of the things he liked about it was his anonymity," Newberg writes. "He could walk around there and nobody knew who he was. He also enjoyed the West Coast weather and the academics."

Re: Barry Sanders update - fullmetal - 05-23-2011

He\'ll take earthquakes over tornadoes maybe...

I like the anonymity remark.  Sounds like a mark of maturity.
